2008 NJ YMCA STATE TEAM CHAMPS
Welcome to the Lakeland Hills YMCA Swim Team web site, home of the 2008 New Jersey YMCA State Champions. LHY Swimming has a 37 year tradition of swimming excellence and success on the local, regional and national levels.
Please use this site to obtain information about our team schedules and results, to communicate with the coaching staff, obtain driving directions to other locations, or to review team policies and procedures.
Announcements
- Big Little Social has been rescheduled for Friday, October 24th. Practice will follow the regular schedule on Friday, October 17th.
- Practice Changes for Nutrition Talk Thursday October 16th. Senior 1 and Junior 1 will practice 6-7:20 PM in order to attend the Nutrition Talk from 7:30-8:45PM. Senior 2 & 3 will have dryland from 6:15 to 7:15PM in order to attend the Nutrition Talk from 7:30- 8:45PM. Super Squad will have normal practice.
- Any parent of a 12 year old swimmer or older that has any interest about YMCA Nationals is welcome to attend a meeting on Thursday, October 23rd at 6:15PM located upstairs in the Childcare center.
- LHY is proud to announce that we have been awarded to host for the next two years the NJ YMCA Silver Championships in February. We are very excited about this event because it will enable the team to raise funds that will benefit all swimmers! If you have misplaced your volunteer sign up sheet, please click here to download a new one. Please return to the swim team office ASAP.
- Please check the Meet Schedules page for updated meet information. When we need a response that a swimmer can't attend a meet, please complete the form and return to the swim team office by the deadline indicated on the form. New meets have been added recently, so please check the eligibility reports.
- In the event of poor weather conditions, please call the YMCA hotline at 973-334-0091 and press "7" at the greeting to get to swim team information. The YMCA does everything possible to remain open. Please use your discretion when traveling in poor weather. Any changes or cancellations to practice or meets will be recorded on the hotline and posted on the website. No messages will be retrieved from the hotline.
David Gibson
David Gibson began swimming for Lakeland Hills in 1996 as an 8/under teammate. Over the years of contributing to the team's success at dual meets and championships, David was able to achieve a life long dream of qualifying for the 2005 YMCA National Championships. His swimming success in one of his proudest achievements. He will forever be a part of our team and a very special part of our National Team.
